It's just a very small comfort in the face of unspeakable loss, but...

…at least the family members of those fallen service members will be met by a President whose sense of empathy, comfort, and dignity are virtually unparalleled, and no doubt he will ensure that the life of their loved one mattered to them and to others.

We all know how the Former Office Occupant acted in similar circumstances, and thank God these grieving souls don’t have to deal with that type of behavior compounded upon what they already have lost.

It indicates that remains are formally transferred to the Dover mortuary for formal identification and preparation to be sent on to their final resting places.

This implies that DoD is not transporting family members to Dover for this ceremony.

6. Its not a big issue with me. Just that some families will be met by the president.

Others get to stay home and wait for their loved ones' remains to be presented by an honor guard.

Are all families there or just ones who live within driving distance.

11. When I heard he and Jill were coming to Dover (as I expected they would)

My first thought was that I hoped the families would welcome their presence and be respectful of them.

12. Remember that time when FFFF45 called our servicemen and women suckers and losers?

That still angers me considerably -- if Joe or any other democrat said such a thing, they'd be crucified. But FFFF45 was allowed to go about his merry way, lying, cheating, and sucking along with little pushback from the M$M on that comment.
