giving minute by minute updates. One guy got pushed over by the wind. A dumpster was in the middle of the road. I hope the reporters get extra compensation for today and maybe tomorrow.

Plenty of these weather reporters have been caught in the act of greatly exaggerating storm effects.

He volunteers for that. He lives for extreme weather. Tornadoes, hurricanes, floods etc. he loves that stuff. So do I, but I'm not getting paid to risk my life.
The running joke along the Gulf Coast is, "you know you'd better evacuate if you see Jim Cantore standing in your front yard".
