It already exploded. Within 3 days. I trace. It is all kids! I’m working 10hrs a day and that is only a portion what I see. Every kid is going home and infecting the house hold. It didn’t have to be this way but here we are…

and we've just barely started.

I teach at the University level. We have a mask mandate at the university, and in the week before the first day of classes my employee and I were exposed 3 times.

The rules here are stay home 10 days if unvaccinated; if you're vaccinated it is up to you.

2. I'm on the quarter system...

So we have a little bit before we start. We're back in person, but have both a vaccine and mask mandate, so hopefully that will keep things tamped down well enough.

5. I was having this discussion a year ago with the Director of the Board of Education.

I warned him that kids would be getting sick, vaccinated or not, and would become vectors for the virus creating an exponentially greater number of cases and more vectors. He was unfased.

I wonder, if I was a man, would he have taken me more seriously? Too late now. Now all we can do is watch helplessly as the Law of the Jungle takes over. It didn't have to be this way.
