Yes, it was a hellacious storm and there was significant damage associated with wind, storm surge and power outages.
But the levees that were rebuilt after Katrina seem to have done their job.
That's a rather fine rebuttal of Reagan's "Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem" mantra, don't you think?

Republicans always tell us government is bad for us, then they get elected and prove it. Because Republican government is very bad.
