Texas hospitals aren't allowed to forbid visitors for covid cases?

I can't find confirmation of this, but:

And as that says, the kind of people who insist on seeing an infectious, seriously ill patient are the worst kind - removing the patient's bipap mask, fiddling with knobs, not wearing a mask themselves - they need constant supervision.

I don't know the specifics there, but so many hospitals are not only understaffed with HCWs, but hlthe2b Sep 2021 #1

likewise security staff. So, some of this may be the result. If there is no one to man the many doors, hallways nor to readily call when you confront someone violating policy, this ends up being the result. Police backup for serious incidents in the ERs is a problem too, given the overload of 911 lines.

There are right wing conspiracy sites pushing that when you go to the hospital with Covid you are "kidnapped" and they prevent you from seeing anyone, this is a response to that.

At this point, I'm almost wishing that Covid becomes much more deadlier for adults who aren't vaccinated.

Even where hospital policies are clear and there has been no attempt to regulate the issue from RW moronic legislators & Governors, this has become a challenge. If you have no security or staff to enforce policies, this can be the result. And it has in several Atlanta hospitals that I know of firsthand.
