The post was about an ad by a vet running against Cawthorn who represents NC-11 and has rightfully pissed a lot of Democrats off due to his Nazi loving behavior, among other things.

The exceptional video was well done and lead members of DU make donations to Mr. Remillard's campaign. Which is a good thing. But...yes, there's always a but. There's one important detail in the article posted by babylonsister and it is that...

Josh Remillard is one of a number of Democrats who are vying to face Cawthorn next year.

Another article said it this way on April 20, 2021

So far, five Democrats and one Republican have revealed plans to unseat the 25-year-old Nazi enthusiast in next year’s midterm, which is still 19 months away, making it the largest challenger field any incumbent from Cawthorn’s district has ever seen at this point in an election in over 20 years.

So you see, as wonderful the video is, Josh Remillard is only one of a broad field of Cawthorn's competition who are hoping to show Cawthorn the door next year.

In fact, the race is further complicated, because no one knows what the NC-11 boundaries are going to be right now. Redistricting hasn't started. Plus, we'll be getting an additional seat this year due to North Carolina's population expansion.

My point is this, if you are going to donate to the NC-11 race, where there are now six Democrats running against Cawthorn, please consider taking the time to examine the media and political positions of the other candidates before you decide to make donations.

Does anyone following the state closely know when the new districts will be updated? (if it’s in one of the links I apologize. Haven’t gone through them all). Who knows, maybe more than 1 of them will be in a new district and can then change that to give Dems more competitive races.

Or will the re-districting be revealed last minute to prevent strategizing a response?

8. I get it, but the understandable focus is identifying someone sufficiently strong/effective

who can devastate Cawthorn. There needs to be a major lesson sent with an overwhelmingly dramatic defeat of that little "..."

He offends me in a way I can't even describe. Maybe it is because I naturally want to feel empathy for him because of his disability and frankly I can't ever recall meeting someone wheelchair-bound and that age who was such a jackass. Of course, that shouldn't make any difference, people are people. But somehow it is so personally inconceivable that someone who escaped a life-threatening incident would be so free of appreciation and care for others.
