Republicans Are Dying At Much Faster Rate Than DemocratsWhen they see that their voters are dying and they may lose seats in Congress because of it, they will change. Until that happens, they will probably remain where they are today?
That is a sad thought to think - that only massive death will change their deceitful and manipulative policies, but that appears to be where they are today.
Their arrogance and hypocrisy know no bounds. The only thing they care about is power and if that is taken from them, they will change. They cannot be rewarded in the next election. They must be defeated, in order for them to open their eyes to reality.
Until then, we will likely stay in this political purgatory.

(50,949 posts)for a long time that republiQans are dying faster than Democrats. And the republiQan leaders have started to change their tune about the virus and the vaccine.
But they have done such a good job brainwashing their cult members that those cult members are not listening to them any more. For the republiQan rank and file to turn on this issue would require them to admit to themselves that they have been completely conned in a completely obvious way, and they fell for it so hard they are willing to give their lives for the success of the con. Their whole identities are built around the belief that they are better and smarter than we are. So they can't make that change in their mindset without losing the bedrock of their identities.
Fools love a fool. And this is where it got them.

(13,582 posts)decades has been about. It's morphed into "fake news" now.
A few republican leaders telling them the truth now won't help. They can't unbrainwash them so easy. Their media can't reverse themselves now. The FG followers would be lost and they would be out of business.

(46,094 posts)Republicans have dedicated themselves to converting this country from a democracy into an apartheid state with oligarchy. I can see having the appearance of democratic voting with results of 25/75% Democrats and the Republicans claim victory every time they lose.

(1,137 posts)The one headline that will change will be from some sort if Q site. It will give away our agenda. It will say something like,Biden And Dems Overheard With Plan Tp Kill Off Republicans.
The article will include how we have always had Fauci in our pockets. We had him create this disease in a lab overseas. We had people hidden on certain boards, trying to equate them not staying at home/not wearing masks/not getting the shot with freedom. They bought into it - hook, line and sinker!
We protect ourselves, while we convinced them to leave themselves vulnerable. We never even had to lift a finger to get them to do this. Biden/we knew they would do the opposite of what we said to do. The plan has worked perfectly.
We talked about doing away with right wing talk show hosts, but there was that pesky free speech thing. We did not scream fire in a crowded theater, we whispered freedom and do not mask. We took out a lot of those speech jockeys and still are working on more. No need for pesky laws, it worked perfectly!!!
The right also knows how much we hate religion. They never realized part of Biden/our plan was to take out their religious leaders. It has not worked as well as the speech jockeys, but we managed to get rid of some and the pandemic is not over yet!
We were not in charge and under Trump, we did not know if we ever would be. What will they say when they read how we took precautions and created this disease, mostly just yo kill them off, so we have more voters.
Until they realize it has really been the lobs owning them and all of their factions and our true goal was death camps, without the camps, they will go on thinking they are owning us, when they are really playing into our hands to kill them off.
It has been right there all along but they bought into our double agents and did not see it. The best trick the devil ever did was to convince everyone he does not exist. The best trick we ever did was to convince the right the disease does not exist.
As long as they do not read this and spread it around, we are safe and our plan is working.

(6,113 posts)Deaths from COVID-19 are now mostly among the unvaccinated and unmasked. That cohort supported Trump by a wide majority. A couple of hundred thousand excess deaths among this group will have reduce GOP margins in some areas

When donnie is gone there will be a mad scramble for the next idiot king and they will fall over themselves trying to out-crazy each other.
Eventually one of them will become their leader.
There is zero chance they'll just wake up and return to normal politics.

Because Republicans would have to be thicker than concrete not to notice that their systematic BS is systematically killing off their base, they must have some other reason for persisting in their COVID lies.

(6,679 posts)I can't name even a single Republican politician who I truly think will choose people over money. I mean at any level. I don't even see Republican leaders at the local level really standing up - and we know state and federal won't.
My genuine belief is the only thing that will get any Republican's attention is if the money dries up.

And they're Republicans, so death will create inheritances available for some political donations.

(6,820 posts)They may soon be simply too stupid to reproduce. Hopefully.
But seriously:
A phenomenon too often overlooked and under-calculated is the effect of technology on the human condition. To function at a very basic level in today's society, people must possess some degree of talent toward manipulating complex technology. To succeed into the "middle-class-fantasy" a more refined integration of technology, a step or two beyond mere button pushing, is required. This is beyond the intellectual capabilities of an ever widening segment of our society. The more complexity, the more exclusivity. It's not by accident that as our societal challenges grow more complex, the solutions, as seen through the fogged lens of intellectually challenged MAGA types, grow simpler. Comically so.
As this blindly inept segment of the population increases, and it will, those who can maintain a lifestyle which accompanies success in technology will become more rare. A minority made up of those few who can thrive in the "future world". Literally a world of which it's functionality relies totally on the fruits of talents available only from the elite. Social segregation, disintegration, will continue to grow along those lines, leaving the great, non-participatory, majority of mankind dependent upon and an anchor upon the neck of those able to embrace the future. What a setup.
I think the immediacy of this growing problem will dwarf global climate change as the greater threat to the future of the western world's version of civilization. Which is just as well since mankind is incapable of fixing it's climate mess.

(4,015 posts)The party has been taken down and is now dominated by several groups of extremists groups. Yesterday's GOP centrists are out including the Neocons (remember them?).
On the way to where the GOP is today, the former leaders and dominant groups in the party simply surrendered and yielded control of the party.
Right now what we are seeing is an ideological and power grab free-for-all. There is no unity, no cohesion. Nothing even close to what we see in the Democratic party, despite what some in the MSM would have us believe.
Trump is today's "Leader" of the GOP. A big problem for him (and the entire GOP) is that he only truly leads the weakest members of the party, and he leads the rest only by exploiting their weakness individually and as "groups". Trump has taken the GOP Hostage imo. To become a hostage you must first surrender.
The entire approach which the Democratic party is presently taking to dealing with the GOP/Trump is out of alignment with the reality which exists. Speaking to that in greater depth is gonna require me to create my own long-winded post and I'm just not into it today. I can tell you what the title will be: "GOP Surrender"
