So I went to a Celebration of Life this Morning for a good friend

Among the tributes was one that spoke about her graduate work at the Erikson Institute for Early Childhood Education back in the early 70s. What was even nicer was hearing the person delivering the tribute point out that the Institute was one of the bye products of LBJ's Great Society initiatives.

It is important to remember that part of the reconciliation package speaks to a renewed drive to promote early childhood education.

was part of the Erickson institute. He was one of the first to bring up the importance of infant bonding.
Tony ended up practicing in our area. Through hypnosis, he helped my boy control his asthma...it took hypnotizing me to. It is a long story but I do love the Erickson Institute and Tony.

her phd research is the basis for the common core early childhood math.
i still cant believe she figured out how babies learn math. took her a long time, tho.

a very important institution. and i am so happy to see early childhood education, and lauren underwoods momnibus included.
if we cant take care of our kids, we just arent fucking civilized.

and we also had a brand new experimental curriculum. I actually got a great high school education, my History class was 4 quarter long mini-courses in a row. 1-on the Civil Rights movement, 2-the holocaust, 3-Japanese internment and 4-Native American movement. In English class we had a mini-course called "the Bible Studied as Literature" where we had to read most of the Bible and do character studies and such. I often wondered where all that came from. Great society programs might have been involved.

My aunt helped run the program in PR.

Because it helped millions of poor children catch up to the others, Reagan destroyed it.
