Dr. Christopher Rake, UCLA anesthesiologist who previously attended an anti-vaxx rally in his white coat, was escorted out of a UCLA Medical Center today.
This is what happens when you stand up for freedom, when you show up to work, willing to work, despite being unvaccinated.

Heres a video of Dr Christopher Rake at an Anti-Vax Rally in Santa Monica, wearing his white coat in an attempt to look professional? Anyways, no word on whether UCLA was more embarrassed by his anti-vaxx opinions or the QAnon chant.

After warning the crowd against listing their religion as an exemption to the vaccine (he says the govt will come after you & restrict your travel), Dr. Christopher Rake ends his speech with a Q-Anon chant.

(81,527 posts)I do not understand how certified medical professionals with advanced degrees and sterling resumes refuse to get vaccinated.
I just dont get it.
And then, on top of that, they insist on their right and their freedumb to continue in their profession - WHILE not vaccinated.
PatSeg
(47,649 posts)and that might be what could happen.
I don't understand it either. All jobs have requirements of employment and no hospital employee should be surprised if vaccines are one of those requirements. Many hospitals already require flu vaccines. They have to protect their patients, especially when they are the most vulnerable.
These fools keep talking about "my freedoms" and they certainly are free to not get vaccinated, but they aren't free to make other people sick and any medical professional should be aware of that. It often feels too much like they enjoy the attention on social media. I can't believe how many adults have turned into fifteen year old kids.

Hey, maybe go hit up your cuckoo anti-vax friends at Fox Noise. Ask them for a job. I hear they're hiring.

(67 posts)I think the correct comeback to these claims of "freedom" is that there is no freedom to infect others. As a doctor, he has duty to protect and heal and not infect.

(1,654 posts)Even wearing a mask, I wouldn't want him near me. But then, it's all about HIS freedom. Well, if you're an anesthesiologist, you can't exactly open a clinic on the street. Good luck making a good living. (And for the most part the gas passers DO make a good living.)

Drs. who refuse to respect women's privacy, who are anti-vaxxers, who don't want public health measures enforced...might get a warm reception in Florida, or Texas, or Tennessee...
