(42,862 posts)I wonder what the original justification (or goal) was for prohibiting backpacks?

(28,877 posts)However, with students I always think they'll find a way
to do what they want when it comes to drugs or guns.

(512 posts)To me not allowing students to use a backpack to carry heavy books ALL DAY is cruel and unreasonable. To suspect students MAY have a drugs or guns is not reasonable and punishes the students. Call it what you want. These kids are learning fast! Kudos to them!
