Is there any hope that Congress will try to tackle the Post Office?

We know, I think, that the service is in deep hole because of obligations for retirements.

But now the service will be slower. My bank already alerted me to switch to online transactions which, of course, will decrease the revenue even further.

Yes, I do use paper transactions. This way I can see where the money goes and I don't forget that payment is due online. Some of them I do.

Companies that bill you will learn to get their bills out a day or two earlier. Pharmacy companies will mail drugs earlier or pay a little extra for guaranteed delivery.

Think the Post Office needs to change its operations, to meet today’s needs. Read here the other day that PO is even experimenting with limited banking — for those who don’t have a bank account — in 4 cities.
