Said had to have certain issues like have a organ transplant, or only a few other specific health conditions. Immune compromised, which i am but my conditions were not on their list, and yes it was for a booster as its been close to 8 months since my last one.

Just go in and act like you are getting your first dose. There is not a national data base on who has had the vaccine, so there is no way for them to tell.

It's fudging, but if I had your health issues, I would do it.

My pharmacist came right out and offered it to me and I jumped at the chance.

that with Moderna, specifically, a booster dose may need to be lower dose. I will try to find a non-medical journal article on it. This is because Moderna's primary doses were much higher strength than that in the Pfizer vaccine, the former conferring longer term, and higher antibody levels, but potentially more reactogenic on subsequent doses. The FDA is meeting Oct 14 and 15 to consider booster recommendations for Moderna AND J&J.

Last I heard, it would likely be this fall, but only for those with compromising conditions like the Pfizer. I also heard it might also contain the flu vaccine which would certainly be convenient.

Moderna is developing a flu/covid vaccine combo, but that hasn't even been submitted for approval, and won't be for a while.

Moderna isn't approved for boosters, we went on line, truthfully answered a few questions, made a same day appointment at CVS, and got our third Moderna shot. Feel fine and safe. Think about it. Since August, Moderna was available for immune suppressed people. Why not for older and chronically ill people now? Makes little sense to me. The bureaucrats are over thinking this one.

Online appt, clicked 3rd Moderna, here's your appointment time, nothing on forms asked condition, pharmacy didnt ask, Publix

I asked my Dr, was taking predisone earlier, she said go for it, called pharmacist, he said no problem, you should be good to go.

Alrighty then

Same effects as first two, sore arm, tired, slight fever for a day, nothing else

I asked the pharmacist if he thought I should get the Pfizer booster even though I'd had the Moderna shots, and he told me he had Moderna booster shots. He said he could give me one of those, and I took it. I am immunocompromised and eager to have as much protection as I can get. I figure even if the FDA hasn't approved it yet, it's not going to hurt.

I wasn't aware they shipped boosters to pharmacies weeks in advance of approval?

Immunocompromised individuals in my area(at least to my knowledge) are getting the FULL 100 microgram shot as a 3rd shot "booster".

now this is technical, is stronger than the Pfizer shot. I recently had my routine blood work done and asked that my Covid antibodies be tested. I was told that I have antibodies so there is no rush to go out and get a full dose of an unapproved vaccine booster.

How do people here say it, this is also technical, patience.
