I watched a segment on Morning Joe this morning with Steve Rattner. Rattner was comparing how little the US spends on social spending vs. other countries. The most amazing statistic was on average we spend only $500 of federal money on kids in the US during the first 3 years of life. What is Texas offered that $10,000 bounty they are willing to pay to report attempted abortions to the moms so they could actually afford to have a child and feed it?
