Biden approval rating falls to low of 38 percent: Quinnipiac poll

https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign-polls/575769-biden-approval-rating-falls-to-low-of-38-percent-quinnipiac-poll

This is really depressing. I know it can go back up, but Biden is having to deal with so much crap right now, Manchin and Sinema are not helping, and Republicans are actively trying to sabotage Biden's presidency.

I'm seriously terrified of next year and 2024.

Why is nothing getting passed in Congress?

They can like the policies all they want, but if they never get passed because of the GOP, Manchin, and Sinema, people get mad.

I've located several recent polls that ask about the bill in a broad, umbrella fashion, and all find majority support. A Quinnipiac poll conducted July 27-Aug. 2 asked, "Do you support or oppose a $3.5 trillion spending bill on social programs such as child care, education, family tax breaks and expanding Medicare for seniors?" and found 62% support, 32% opposition. A Monmouth University poll conducted July 21-26 asked about both the initial infrastructure bill and the new $3.5 trillion bill, describing the latter this way: "A plan to expand access to healthcare and child care, and provide paid leave and college tuition support." The results were similar to the Quinnipiac poll, with 63% in favor and 35% opposed.”

Approval polls on a candidate do not predict elections, and are very volatile

In addition, we need to see if this is an outlier or a trend

Because of all the spam phone calls, I would take polls with a grain of salt. How many people people answer calls from numbers they don’t recognize? I think more than many pollsters like to admit, and that means those that don’t respond to polls or calls from pollsters because they don’t recognize the number are not counted

We lost seats in the House in 2020.
Barely won the Senate in a very favorable cycle.
Lost state legislatures when we were supposed to win a bunch which is going to lead to even more gerrymandered districts. It was also our chance to unfuck the districting in purple states.

2022 is probably going to be ugly for us.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public.

Voted for Biden, but complains about the economy now. Says he hates Trump the person, but gas prices were lower and his stocks were better under him. Of course, this has nothing to do with Biden but some voters blame the President when things aren't going their way.

"independence" from any party. You can expect at least some independent to shift to republican just because we have a democratic president. That's why republicans are expecting a big win.

Fri Oct 8, 2021, 11:48 AM
Oct 2021

Biden's approval started to fall with the unfortunate sudden collapse of Afghanistan government (Americans don't like losing, especially when they are still in the country) and then the rushed exit with American soldiers' deaths. Follow this up with an ongoing stalemate in DC over Biden's program and it is understandable that his ratings would fall. Memory of both will fade.

However, a sound economy is the most important factor for the strength of a Presidency and favorability, and that is still strong, which bodes well for the future. Especially after the infrastructure/build back better situation is finally resolved. The only wild card is Covid-19, especially if a new more deadly and contagious variant arises.

I'm not terrified, but the mostly corporate media's doing their BEST to make sure Biden doesn't win again because they miss making money off the fatass. Ad buys and his craziness=BIG monies. You see the mostly corporate media said that Biden's presidency is boring. Welp, they had to LIE and jazz it up by running with Afghanistan which they said was messy and that Biden's withdrawal was horrible. tRump fucked up that shit and Biden ended it yet it's Biden's fault that the withdrawl wasn't perfect. What withdrawl from a country that lost the war was ever successful and perfect? Then there's the debt/deficit. So happy Jen Pasaki took out that chart and told that fool in the Washing press corps whose name I don't want to say what was what, and WHO caused this huge deficit and WHO didn't want to pay for it and WHO tried to blame Biden for it, even though he's barely been in office

Dems have to really start to go on the attack though, especially with Jan. 6th hearings hopefully coming up sooner rather than later. We knew that fatass would tell his criminal peeps to defy the hearings & subpoenas. Dems have to arrest them if they do. How much is the GQP/US Taliban Party allowed to get away WITH?

The GQP had Hillary Clinton up there with their sexist asses, and she sat there and answered all of their questions. ALL OF THEM for 11 fucking hours.

merely want to move on and get something done? We need to pass some stuff. I think the mandates will help. The economy is decent so I think we have a chance...going on the attack...always hear this but what does it mean?

I would like to see justice for those who attempted to overthrow our government. But I know how difficult it is to prosecute conspiracy cases. I would not have had a 1/6 commission. It should have been left to justice. Many voters view this as just more politics which they are sick of...they want stuff done.

Yes I'm aware that no one will be swayed, but ANYTIME the GQP/US Taliban party can be put in the worst light possible, I'm all for that because the mostly corporate sure doesn't put them in the worst light that they SHOULD be in. Yes, we need to get something substantial passed for the people, but again The US Capital was attacked. Those cultists tried to directly stop the certification of a fair vote. Dems at some point have to hold the GQP's feet to the fire, because God knows that if the shoe were on the other foot. Why does the Democratic party have to always 'move on' or just 'suck it up?' Dem voters are sick and tired of seeing the GQP always getting away with things, and this is a big thing. What about our base? We don't matter?

Also, I don't care if people think it's more politics as usual. Where were these same bozos when Hillary was up there testifying for 11 hours and dragged through the mud for NOTHING. The GQP pulls stunts like this all the time, and I hope that Dems do conduct investigations and do something to those who avoid testifying, because this really matters.

The fossil fuel based energy companies stock prices tend to correlate with fuel prices, especially the price of oil.
There's nothing directly to do with Biden, though they probably would like a Republican in office because of their tax policies.
