(9,998 posts)I can't believe the vitriol directed at him here at DU. He's basically CRYING OUT for everything we want here.
People just are pissed that he is pessimistic about the outcome. But that's no reason to attack him or demean his sources.
Have people lost sight of the fact he was Extremely supportive of Joe Biden, and has been critical of TFG from Day 1?

SoCalDavidS
(9,998 posts)You don't think he could get clicks and make money if he had supported TFG?
He's trying to help bring down the prior Administration. End of story. That's why he's Pissed, because he sees that they'll likely get away with everything.

(11,010 posts)And people here are glad to feed it. Just because you agree with him doesn't mean his motives are pure.
SoCalDavidS
(9,998 posts)Doesn't mean what he's saying is untrue.
He's not an Enabler, like that Grisham nutjob with her book tour, he's been consistently on the right side of this argument.

Some of his wants may align. But he is NOT on our side.

(37,160 posts)He's a self-promoting mercenary. It's maddening that people throw money and support to him and his ilk instead of developing hard-hitting messaging talent that really is on our side.

(9,998 posts)Are your sources telling you something different, or are you just waiting around to be disappointed yet again?
I'm sure you'll admit being wrong, when a few months from now, these Assholes defying their subpoenas, have escaped without consequences.
I'm willing to wait and see, but I also am not going to set myself up for disappointment.

(267 posts)But his mindset is still GOP. He seems to be saying that the committee is dead in the water if it won't go after the GQP with everything + the kitchen sink. I think that's a premature judgment. We'll see.

(54,770 posts)then seemingly nothing?
Think that is what Wilson is speaking about. No insider info needed.

(53,776 posts)have little weight. He's not in the committee chair's head. He doesn't know if criminal complains will or now they'll be handled by Justice.

(9,998 posts)I trust that he would not simply tweet something out that he couldn't back up.
Again, HE WANTS THE SAME ACCOUNTABILITY THAT WE DO.

(13,419 posts)The House's refusal to uphold warrants or seek all possible evidence is a major failure for the commission and for Democrats.

(32,080 posts)This is the same asshole who smeared Max Cleland as terrorist-loving and unpatriotic, and cost him his Senate seat. I really don't understand why people are so willing to believe him without question.

(4,875 posts)I think some folks have absolved never-trump republicans because of their stance against TFG. They are forgetting that what never-trumpers enabled was what lead to TFG in the first place.

(4,875 posts)Bolton, MS & Wilson, WYChairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY) today made the following statement regarding the deadline for witnesses under subpoena to produce materials to the Select Committee:
While Mr. Meadows and Mr. Patel are, so far, engaging with the Select Committee, Mr. Bannon has indicated that he will try to hide behind vague references to privileges of the former President. The Select Committee fully expects all of these witnesses to comply with our demands for both documents and deposition testimony.
Though the Select Committee welcomes good-faith engagement with witnesses seeking to cooperate with our investigation, we will not allow any witness to defy a lawful subpoena or attempt to run out the clock, and we will swiftly consider advancing a criminal contempt of Congress referral.
We thank those many patriotic Americans who are coming forward voluntarily to participate in our inquiry. The Committee is making rapid progress and will not be deterred by those who seek to obstruct our efforts.

(38,000 posts)Sure, good for him for being against TFG and that mess, but I am not going to venerate him and I will always question his motives. He helped create the monster that the republican party has become.
