> Why hasn't this happened by now?

Perhaps there is no "smoking gun" in there that would motivate someone to risk leaking it or Democrats to really push for the release.

now...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Special Counsel Robert Mueller complained in a letter to Attorney General William Barr that his four-page summary of Mueller’s Russia report “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance” of the investigation’s conclusions, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

That enabled Trump to crow he had been "exonerated." Trump's minions were not going to actually read the report.

Never mind that Mueller's team was "stymied by the lies witnesses told and the communications that they deleted or failed to maintain."
They got away with it.

We may never know for certain what exactly the Trump campaign did to work with the Russians or what they would have done had the investigation never happened. They may have lifted sanctions, who knows. But we do know Trump's rantings and threats and pardons and lies he told to cover up everything he was doing. That is all we will ever know.

It seems like there are quite a few things that could be released and unredacted that would be quite useful to clarify history.

refuse to even release the evidence that Bill Barr had decided ahead of time that his DOJ was not going to do anything to Trump because of the Mueller report?

It is infuriating that the American people are not able to learn the truth about what has happened to their government because someone else has decided it's a "secret" and the bad guys walk.

release.

From: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/06/14/judge-keeps-second-part-of-memo-on-mueller-report-secret.html

Jackson also brushed aside the DOJ’s claim that the memo was used to advise Barr on the question of whether Trump should face criminal charges. The judge said the document itself reveals that Barr had already made up his mind on that question at the time it was submitted to him.

“The review of the document reveals that the Attorney General was not then engaged in making a decision about whether the President should be charged with obstruction of justice; the fact that he would not be prosecuted was a given,” Jackson wrote.

... it will do no good. Crooked Donald publicly asked the Russians for help. Then, at his rallies, he cheered the Russian-arranged leaks as they were released. The fans did not care... they view Vlad as a strong leader and think Democrats are Commies.

Probably some “moderate “ Dems besides 2 in Congress which haven’t been bought as well.
