GOP Operative: Helping Kids of Color Feel Like They Belong Hurts White Kids

Who is Mary Beeman, I hear you asking. Well, Mary Beeman—she of the hate-filled Beemans from Connecticut—is a campaign manager for the Guilford Republican school board candidates, and during a University of Connecticut virtual education forum, Beeman fixed her thin Christian lips to claim that “helping kids of color to feel they belong has a negative effect on white, Christian, or conservative kids.”
----
When questioned about her comment, Beeman said, “The statement I made was poorly worded and shown out of context. Guilford students who may have staunch Judeo-Christian values, or simply are conservative thinkers, have been bullied into submission by their teachers and fellow students with left-leaning ideologies,” Eyewitness News 3 reports.

Emphasis mine

Well, ain't this KKKaren peachy? And still the racists think they get to say the quiet part out loud. Not sure her admitting that Judeo Christian value holders and conservative thinkers are white supremacists and ethno nationalists is the look they should be going for in 2021...

Another white supremacist who says something outlandish and racist, and then blames anyone who pushes back for taking it out of context.

A segment of the white population has realized that their majority will eventually be eclipsed by total minorities, and they are doing everything they can—no matter who it hurts among minorities—to maintain their white privilege. They believe that white is superior, and in one way it is because skin color confers advantages that minorities do not enjoy. That is the current culture, even though skin color has nothing to do with intelligence or ability.

These racists have been convinced by Republican leaders and right-wing media that their culture and their race is under attack (i.e., Tucker Carlson’s ceaseless talk of replacement theory), and they are emboldened by TFG and his party to overtly say and do things that support white supremacy. These people have not stopped to consider that it is All minorities together that will result in their eventual minority status and that the different groups may have very little in common and thus are not and most likely will not form one group to become a political monolith opposing all things white.

For whatever reason, the white supremacists fear black people most, perhaps because the history of the white treatment of black people is so heinous and the behavior of many of their ancestors unjustifiable. This fear seems irrational because black people make up only around 14% of our population, but right-wing media has sewn such distrust into the white community that many are now openly pushing to erase the history of slavery and the murders and racism of the post-Civil War years (actually continuing today) from textbooks and thus from the minds of their children. To them, what is not taught never existed and thus black people have nothing to complain about. It is the same tactic Trump and Republicans have used with the 2020 election. They repeat the Big Lie over and over and people believe it to be true. If racists repeat over and over that there is no racism and history teaches only the accomplishments of white people, then eventually more people do not know the real history and it is erased.

Before Trump, the racists did not have such a high profile white supremacist to follow. They are now free to air their foul beliefs and lies because they have an entire political party behind them. The Republican Party is not just bent on taking power by any means, I believe they also intend to remake the country into a white power nation. If they win in 2022 and 2024, we could well start seeing the beginnings of our own apartheid regime but their regime will deny rights to all non-white, non-Christian, and non-heterosexual members of society, along with denying reproductive rights for all women except the ones who can afford to travel to another country for an abortion.

It is the possibility of a dystopian future that we must fight, and win.

I'll bet most of the white kids don't give two shits what she says. They are too busy hanging out at their black friends house, setting a pick for their Hispanic teammate, and hanging with their friends of all races. I always found racism is more of an "adult" issue.

Staunch Judeo-Christian values? OK. I wonder if she's ever heard of that Paul of Tarsus guy?

Galatians 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Oh, crap. Paul said it twice....

Colossians 3:11 - Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.

And Jesus on this matter?

Mark 12:31 - The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

OK, maybe she's just Old Testament. I wonder what it has to say on this?

Leviticus 19:33-34 - “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

So much for border walls.

I may be stretching here, but I don't think it's her religion that's driving this, though that causes more than enough trouble. No...I'm getting the distinct impression she just hates brown people, contrary to her religion's teachings. Is it a self esteem problem where she has to feel superior to others based on meaningless differences? Talk about entitlement. Maybe she should go see Joe Manchin and tell him SHE is what entitlement actually looks like.

NO ONE is teaching children CRT. Teaching them that BLM, or ALM, or NLM should not be a threat.

It hurts to have your preconceptions challenged; you'll get over it (unless you refuse to think). EMOTIONS PASS.
