Kevin McCarthy looks pitiful -- and scared -- running from Jan. 6 investigators

Kevin is scared

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., seems very, very afraid of what might turn up if the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol acquires his phone records.

For months, he has tried to skirt fellow lawmakers’ attempts to understand what role his actions played during the deadly riot earlier this year. His desperate spin job continued Sunday during an appearance on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Speaking to host Maria Bartiromo, McCarthy complained that the House select committee — which includes both Democrats and Republicans — was too partisan before falsely claiming Congress has no right to subpoena phone records.

“It is purely politics,” he said. “Congress does not have the right to go after mine or your phone number records.”

He’s wrong. Congress is, in fact, authorized to request phone and social media data if those records are deemed relevant to their investigations. Nonetheless, he has tried to intimidate companies out of complying, threatening in August that they could be “subject to losing their ability to operate in the United States" if they cooperate with the committee's requests.

It is deep red and teeming with Covid now. Voted big to recall Newsom. Old Kevin is safe unless he is prosecuted!

And they're still running scared.

Except we're not scary enough.

So instead, they're running for cover. And they're getting it - from the media.

At the moment of the failed insurrection, McCarthy was (I'm guessing) appalled like most decent-thinking Americans. But since then, the dogma of his party has decreed that he should be supportive of the failed insurrection. In any case, he's very protective of those phone records, which I take to mean those long-ago calls do not portray him as he wishes to be portrayed today.

I would advise keeping an eye on the power-hungry would-be successors to McCarthy as House Minority Leader. Steve Scalise of Louisiana has been identified as one of those eager to climb the power ladder in the House and not too scrupulous about how he goes about it. If the media start a "McCarthy's goose is cooked" narrative, look for the names of possible replacements in the story as the unnamed source.

He's not alone in that regard. There's a whole bunch of them who know they're about to be exposed, Steve Scalise being another example.

there was elements of a conspiracy, and some outside influences on the rogue protesters breaking into Congress, while they were trying to certify election results (at trump's (and possibly others urging).

That is my generic coverall for these obviously guilty af truth dodgers, you can't prevent them seeing the light, after acting this hardcore strangely for this long with new convenient hard to conquer excuses at every turn, unforgivable acts unless you are a gullible authority praising stooge?

They don't mind looking like complete and total guilty af greedy, the hell with others safety, assholes/fools/whatever?
Need stopped by something?

Violence can go both ways, and we have more average intelligence and #'s, so they are the ones that SHOULD be backing OFF instead of bullying and cheating their way forward?

In drama class, this spineless stooge would flunk out. His tv appearances are really weak and phony as hell. If I didn't hate the treasonous mother fucker, I would feel pity on him.

What a dolt. Waaaaay over his head!

PLEASE don't let our House fall into his hands. We need to gain MORE seats in the House and Senate to cut the nuts off sinema and manchin.
