There's a lot riding on this Steve Bannon issue! The way it turns out should make a huge difference.

(The Guardian) Steve Bannon: Capitol attack panel to consider criminal contempt referral

“The select committee will not tolerate defiance of our subpoenas, so we must move forward with proceedings to refer Mr Bannon for criminal contempt,” Thompson said. “Witnesses who try to stonewall the select committee will not succeed.”

If Steve Bannon gets away with defying the subpoena that'll be a huge score for the bad guys, and if he doesn't then it'll be a huge score for the good guys. But either way it's going to be a huge score.

They won't ignore the referral. They'll prosecute. Too much is riding on the referral.

If they're sending SWAT teams to arrest Proud Boys, prosecuting Bannon will be easy street.

If they make a criminal referral, then they turn it over to the DOJ.
If they use their power of inherent contempt, they can lock him up the minute the Sergeant at Arms finds him. They can do both. I hope they will. It should be easier for the DOJ to execute a criminal contempt investigation if thy know where they can lay their hands on him.

Papers should read as:

"Former Trump aid and ex convict, Steve Bannon, is refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena"

Round him up in the paddy wagon, send him off to jail. Otherwise NONE of these guys are going to do squat.

It's not that Bannon has something to say that they others don't. Any one of these guys can hang Chump and they know it. So does Chump. I just hate seeing them thumb their noses (and flip the bird) at the Dept. of justice. What happened to "The party of law and order" that the Repukes claim to be?

along with whatever hand Putin's had in this.

His phone logs and emails would make VERY revealing evidence...Not to mention his banking records.

Am I right? He's a person of interest, and a potential conspirator.

not 100% always ofc, but never a 100% Christo-fascist lackey vassal of a fascist President.

I remember.

That is why justice is coming, and coming swiftly for the leaders of Sedition Day and Sedition Day 2.0 they are planning.
