All morning the media would not report that Powell had cancer

He was at higher risk for Covid complications because he had blood cancer. Yes, he had a breakthrough infection. However, he might have still been okay if he did not have a cancer that weakened his immune system. I see that the media is gradually adding that to the headlines. They should have said that immediately before anti vaxxers take it and run.

I’m having a hard time blaming this on the just laziness of these journalist. I’m starting to think they like to whip up the drama. In the words of Sergeant Friday, just the facts ma’am

reported his cancers, said he had 3 of them. Heard that early this am.

5. I have been listening to the radio

And ever since the announcement came the reporting has been based solely on the announcement that the family put out.
That announcement mentioned that he was fully vaccinated, but didn’t mention the cancer. So to be fair to the media, they were reporting breaking news, with the information that they had.
Within the next hour, they were adding the news that he was suffering from cancer. So blame the family, not the media.

He died of Covid-19, his family said. He was fully vaccinated, but treatment for multiple myeloma had compromised his immune system, a spokeswoman said.

7. NBC Nooze and CBS Nooze, on their respective morning shows, mentioned the cancer

I happened to watch the Today show and then CBS Mornings. His cancer history was part of each of their stories.

8. MSNBC just reported that Powell also had Parkinsons disease.

Also monitored FOX and they, of course, had no mention of cancer or Parkinson's disease.

Probably many medical appointments with his conditions, but who knows.

None of the reports I’ve seen indicate that he had been hospitalized. Correct me if I’m wrong, please. Perhaps that’s been reported and I just haven’t seen it.
