A prime suspect in the murder of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse has been arrested in Jamaica.
Mario Palacios Palacios, a former Colombian military officer, was arrested in Kingston earlier this month. The arrest was kept secret. The arrest of Palacios has been confirmed by several Haitian and Jamaican sources speaking to the Miami Herald on condition of anonymity.
Former Colombian soldiers formed the killer squad that stormed Moïse's home in the middle of the night on July 7, according to Haiti police. Moïse was tortured and shot dead several times while his wife Martine was seriously injured, according to a 124-page investigation report by the Haitian police. None of the president's security forces were killed or injured.
A total of 44 people were arrested in connection with the crime, including 18 Colombians and three Haitian Americans who lived in southern Florida. Arrest warrants have been issued for a number of suspects, including Palacios, known as "Floro", including Red Interpol notices authorizing an individual for international detention. Palacios is accused of being one of the main executors of the plot that led to the president's assassination, according to the 124-page Haitian police report received by the Herald.
Palacios entered Haiti on June 4, 2021, according to police investigations and was part of the four-person Delta team that allegedly broke into the president's bedroom. Two of the team members were killed by Haitian police.

Two completely different questions. The us is complicit in the ongoing punishment and destabilization of haiti.

This has been in ingrained strategy under several qop admins, and it runs so deep that dem admins have been foiled in attempts to reign it in. Deep state? Nope. Revenge for daring to overthrow slave running overlords. It is centuries old.

It has never been a strategic threat, so haiti blows in the winds of state department backwater politics.

And under tfg, it was driven to toxic levels. Just look at policy towards puerto rico; and they are americans.

No cav coming over the hills on this one.
