Trump Advisers Enlisted Ex-Army Psy-Ops Specialist in Bid to Overturn Election

A team of Donald Trump’s lawyers and associates who launched a last-ditch effort to stay in power ahead of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot enlisted the help of a retired Army colonel who specialized in psychological operations, The Washington Post reports. The so-called legal “command center” at the ritzy Willard hotel in Washington, D.C. featured Rudy Giuliani, former NYPD commissioner Bernard Kerik, and former White House Chief of Staff Steve Bannon. John Eastman, the lawyer who authored the memo outlining how then-Vice President Mike Pence could suspend the Senate’s certification of the 2020 presidential election’s results, also made appearances at the “war room,” where Team Trump pushed the lie that he had won the election and reportedly devised ways to pressure Pence into stopping certification. Among those involved in the effort, according to the Post, was Phil Waldron, a former Army officer with expertise in psychological operations. Waldron led a team analyzing state election data he said gave credence to Trump’s claims of widespread voter fraud.

... a hog farmer I knew in Nebraska built a seriously ostentatious home pretty close to the hog confinement and lagoon. People would ask him how he could live so near the hogs. He said it didn't stink, it smelled like money.

After about five years or so, due to a series of strokes he had to put his house up for sale and passed the hog confinement to his sons.

The house sold to newcomers to the area in December.

The new owners attempted to sue that summer to get the confinement moved as a nuisance, they lost.

Getting paid as small time contractor by Trump is a major accomplishment. Holding one's nose around 45 is de rigueur.

would greet my young daughters because they had started school in Pender, Ne, but because my wife and I hadn't, we were not greeted - even when we were with our daughters.

Another interesting 'legal' deal there: The high school sports teams were the Pender Pendragons. At the intersection just east of the only traffic light in town - a flasher - someone had painted a big red fire-breathing dragon.

One night a local coming out of the bar on the corner, walked up to the dragon and urinated over it. The town's night cop asked him what he was doing. The guy say, "putting out the fire."

He was arrested and when the town attorney went to prosecute it discovered there was no "urinating in public" or "public indecency or exposure" laws, cut him loose.

The town blue noses decided that had to change. They wrote up the laws applied and paid the state of Nebraska something under $1,000 to get the laws made registered and legal with a fine of $140. In the over 100 years of being a town they hadn't need those laws. And probably would never recoup that expense in the next 100+ years.

... Steiger in "Heat of the Night".

The part time night cop hit a pint of brandy and decided to practice his prowl car techniques and turning a corner fast and tight, plowed into the rear of a parked car.

A cop in the next town, Bertram (no excuse for Bertram except to buy beer on Sunday) thought he saw someone hanging around the corn and bean silos (the real reason for Bertram's four houses, bar and county garage). He parked his car with the lights on one end, drew his piece and stalked back around the other side.

When he came around and saw his car, he shot it thinking the suspect was in his car and going to run him down.

Next town up from that, Tonawa, a town cop was on the porch of a hairdresser's shop, which was decorated like a log cabin saloon. He decided to practice cowboy style quick draws and shot himself in the leg. But he tried to claim someone he saw on the porch grabbed his six gun and tried to shoot him.

The next town up, Lyons, had a police chief who shot his girlfriend and got caught a year later down in Fla after "America's Most Wanted" featured him. He was doing cleanup after Hurricane Andrew and his buddies turned him in.

Got some good ones about Pender and Thurston County.

It is treason.

It meets all the legal criteria. In the constitution, there are 2 types of treason.

Article III, Section 3, Clause 1: Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

Someone with a lot of stolen loot is protecting TFG or he would at least have charges brought against him. It's really amazing and a blatant violation of the constitution.

17. Do we realize we have lost independent voters and Trump could win an election?
Sun Oct 24, 2021, 09:43 AM
Oct 2021

Day after day we focus on how evil Trump is. While true, it does not matter to independent voters. Repugs have laser focused on saying "all Dems are soft on crime, all Dems want open borders, all Dems want to impose radical woke ideas on your kids in schools".

And it is working, we have lost independents. A watered down bill with no big climate change, no student loan forgiveness, more and more being taken out is not going to do a thing. Biden's approval among independents is gone.

Independents do not care about 1-6. They think Trump is better at stopping crime, better at border security, and the only thing stopping the economy was super bad luck with Covid. They rationalize that Covid was not his fault and he was getting conflicting advice from experts.

Folks, we are losing this messaging battle big time. Add in redistricting and voter suppression, we are in real dire trouble for 2022 and 2024.

We need to get way better at messaging. Where are the weekly rallies with big name Dem stars that women's rights are being destroyed? Where are the weekly huge events by star Dems that people of color have had their voting rights taken away?? How about the young voters that came out for us? Where are the rallies for student loan forgiveness and climate change??

Pieczenik was a hostage negotiator, well known. The stuff he was saying back in 2016 came true in 2020. Go to You Tube and watch his videos. He is a close friend of Alex Jones and has appeared on Infowars.

So when the GQP can't seem to find any other way to lie to the American people, they decide they will try sleight of hand. Hire a guy who's known to have made a living by lying, thinking that should fool the reality-based citizens.

After all, TFG is betting that a paid liar bending the truth will give credence to TFG's claims of widespread voter fraud.

That will make me (LOL) and millions of others believe that 65 times since the 2020 election, that TFG has LOST THE FUCKING argument, but now the truth is out.

Here is a truth we all should believe, the ex-military Army Officer is breaking his oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.

He went so far as to call Dan Quayle for advice on what options he had. "None," is what Quayle told him in no uncertain terms. Had Pence "grown a spine," as so many are claiming, he wouldn't have been seeking a loophole to get out of his Constitutional duties. The real hero in this morality tale is Dan Quayle, who stood up for the Constitution when everyone else was trying to find a way to rip it apart.

Yes, we train all these military to kill and control abroad, but they all come home with their expertise and then they can be activated to act against US. This is what we in the Peace Movement called "The War Comes Home!" What goes around comes around. How many who stormed the capitol were trained in our military? To be a real democracy we must cut the military budget and spend trillions on taking care of OUR OWN PEOPLE!

My guess is that it came from Citizens United dark money collected post election. This unregulated money is corrupt money making Citizens United an anti-democratic, unamerican co-conspirator that needs to be brought to justice. And this level of sophistication does not occur without sign-off from the highest level meaning Trump is up to his eyeballs in this operation. This is naked fascism and involves the entire leadership structure of the GOP. America faces its most serious challenge since the War of 1812. And beware of the role that the Supreme Court could play in this saga, where corruption is no stranger with Thomas and Kavanaugh the most obvious.

thing. Some of the details are different than a few of us above have supposed.

I do not doubt that there was a coup attempted by TFG and his advisers. I have no reason to think they did not expect Pence to help them. I am sure that most of what we suppose happened in the days between the election and Jan.6, and thereafter, were a blatant attempt to keep TLG and the GOP in power and steal the election from the voters.

IMO it helps to use specifics and facts when we discuss this situation, even though there is plenty of legitimate rage to express about it.
