FL Judge: Terms of Service apply to the leader of the free world (Twitter)

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/florida-federal-judge-says-trumps-former-status-as-a-us-president-doesnt-exempt-him-from-twitters-terms-of-service/ar-AAPZA6D?li=BBnb7Kz

On Tuesday, a Florida federal judge ruled that former President Donald Trump's status as a US president doesn't exclude him from Twitter's terms of service, according to court documents seen by Insider.

In July, Trump filed a lawsuit in Florida against Twitter and its CEO for suspending his account permanently on January 7, a day after the Capitol siege. The suspension was made on the grounds of Trump inciting violence through the platform, said Twitter at the time.

The former president cited censorship concerns in his lawsuit, saying that social media giants like Facebook, Twitter, and Google were "silencing" conservative voices and were being coerced by Democratic lawmakers.

On Tuesday, Florida District Judge Robert N. Scola Jr granted Twitter's motion to transfer the case to the Northern District of California, as required by a clause in the social media company's user agreement signed by all Twitter users.

I mean, inciting violence through the platform is a criminal act, and for the POTUS, it becomes more than that

He has this executive privilege that protects him from all lawsuits and now he thinks his magic to force people to obey him extends to ignoring terms of service.

Now why didn't all the former presidents get these magical powers too?

Boy, the filthy rich sure can pick them.

That phrase used to automatically apply to the US president, but Republicans voided that interpretation between Jan. 20, 2017 and Jan. 19, 2021.

The Free World decides for itself who counts as its leader, and while Trump acted like a spoiled child and was laughed at, one thing he never did was lead.

...and any reference to that howler monkey as "leader of the free world", even in jest, will get a reminder from me that it was yet another thing Republicans broke and can't just be fixed by an executive order.

TFG filed three really bogus lawsuits against twitter, facebook and others in Florida even though the service agreements each platform clearly provide that all lawsuits have to be brought in California. TFG claimed that he was above the law as a former POTUS and the courts basically have laughed at this claim.

Yet one more lawsuit is being moved to California

We need everyone to laugh at all of his BS claims as he meanders through lawsuits that give him more time out of jail. Drain him of every cent. Do not stretch out cases. Hit him hard right away, make him have to pay for his lawyers up front, don't allow him to legally drag this on and on like he has done his entire, enabled life. Make him wish he were dead. I know I do.

company to post or say whatever they want even if its a politician wanting to say something.
In fact the government would be breaking a number of amendments to try and force a media company to do that except in certain rare extreme national emergency type situations and Trump wanting to regurgitate more raw sewage from his mouth does not count.
