Republican leaders blame stimulus for rising US inflation

Republican Senate leaders on Tuesday railed against rising US inflation rates, blaming the price increases on the flood of money from a pandemic stimulus package pushed by Democratic President Joe Biden earlier this year.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell used the recent rise in prices seen as the American economy has reopened to argue against Biden's new spending plans for infrastructure and social programs.

"The country's awash in inflation. The country is flooded with money. The last thing we need to do is to pile on with another massive reckless tax and spending spree," McConnell said at a press conference.

can't have an effect on product shortages, can they?

Then there's the cost of fuel going up, which affects every product that is transported.

At least the Democrats TAX when they spend. The Republicans just BORROW and BLOW their free money for the undeserving wealthy, which only results in Wall Street inflation.

My question is: Why aren’t we messaging effectively to educate the American people as to why this inflation is happening.

Are we just naive, in thinking that somehow everything is going to work itself out, and election day 2022 will hold no consequences for the party?
