But he wasn't quite so circumspect about the right of Colin Kaepernick to speak freely ("disrespectful" ). So weird how the guy who claims his father was tortured in Cuba (under Batista's fascist regime) has come all the way around to support fascists and Nazis.

(1,202 posts)I think they are already at that point. Nazis are better than communists in their minds.

(20,733 posts)some nutjob actually shows up armed, and takes hostages. That's what this mess leads to. Then they claim it wasn't their "intent."

(3,538 posts)I mean, I really, really hate to defend Ted Cruz, and I also think people who compare mask mandates and vaccines to the holocaust are freakin idiots, BUT
I do want to point out that (some) people who throw Nazi salutes at public officials are not trying to say look at me, Im a Nazi and I support Hitler, but rather they are (stupidly) saying your effort to impose this health measure is akin to repressive fascist ideology.
Which is idiotic, and these people are morons, and its extremely insulting to the memory of the holocaust to even suggest a comparison, but if anything the gesture is anti-Nazi in that they are insulting their opponents by comparing them to Nazis. Which, according to Godwins law means they have already lost the argument
