I have a question - how many church people sign away their insurance policies to these pastors? This is looking more and more like major insurance fraud or killing to cash in policies. Is this the prosperity gospel business?
I cannot believe people are so gullible.

(268,993 posts)The pastor died in a very suspicious car crash on his way to face charges in Kingston. One of the cops in the vehicle was also killed and two others were injured.

(268,993 posts)and another was seriously injured - and don't forget the police and soldiers arrived and opened fire killing a cult member.
I heard one (in disguise on local news tonight) saying he had handed over his policy (he was lucky to survive - cops arrived in time to save him). Not only did he hand over his policy - there were policies on his two sons

(77,080 posts).... you couldn't write a script that crazy.
Apparently he didn't know that the insurance company had raised red flags about one of the victim's policies being turned over to him even before he had her killed. Still using the Covid vaccine as the mark of the beast for cover was quite creative.
Do people really believe there will be an Ark to take them to some heavenly spot?
I'm ready to give up on humanity.

(25,816 posts)But there seems to be be more weirdness than ever.
Three people dead is tragic, but that number is small compared to the Jonestown cult (918)
or 9/11 or the invasion of Iraq or covidiots. When I feel ready to give up I go outside or play music or do ganga.
It never goes away. Seems it has always been like this.

(16,845 posts)they speak of "prosperity gospel." Prosperity gospel teaches that God will reward you with riches if you give money to these preachers. It's called "planting a seed," or "seed faith." The preachers teach that giving large sums to them is an act of faith and that the Lord won't bless you unless you prove you have faith by sacrificing a significant amount of money. Prosperity gospel preachers, while unscrupulous, don't require their marks to die for them and leave their insurance policies to them.

(21,646 posts)of course there would be some seed money needed to prove one deserves to get rich themselves by giving to the preachers 🙄

(21,646 posts)about insurance I dont think the guy planned on being dead too + seems obvious he was going to get $$ after the sacrifices and so many listen to preachers as their highest authority here on earth and give lots of money alive to them so why not when dead Im not shocked
Also that ark he had with foods and animals in the building another strange
As far as police killing I read that police were shot at and attacked by a man with a knife, when trying to enter and a fight occurred before the police forced their way in
Who would sit there and watch human sacrifices ??? is my big question because a lot of people were taken from that church that day including children , I know some ran out but I cant believe there are people who would witness that for a religion 2021
I didnt follow up but what I read a few days ago had me wondering about who stayed to witness the sacrifices, fought off the police so they couldnt try to stop them and had me hoping they do not go and start another church as a group !

(268,993 posts)and you're right about the police being attacked. Note though that some of the members are police or army. Apparently his father was an army man.
The guy on TV said he told them he'd bring them back to life and such was their believe in a classic con man.
From he referred to himself as You excellency, they should have got a hint.
