Manchin and Sinema are loyal Democrats. Time to make them prove it.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-congress-votes/kyrsten-sinema/

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/biden-congress-votes/joe-manchin/

As you can see from FiveThirtyEight.com, both Manchin and Sinema have sterling 100% loyalty ratings to President Biden.

They are clearly bluffing, and they are not going to vote to blow up Biden's agenda after being offered a BBB bill that is well below the $3.5 trillion price tag he wanted.

Offer the bill as it is now. Have them take it or leave it.

Dare them to vote down the whole package and become Democratic pariahs.

They won't vote it down. They'll vote for the smaller package and brag to whatever constituent they serve how they "saved money" or some nonsense.

This could have been done and resolved a long time ago. The negotiating tactics was garbage.

5. At this point, we don't care what they want

They already got concessions after concessions. Enough is enough.

They take the bill or vote it down and be goats. Hang the failure around their necks if they vote against it.

They won't because when it comes down to it, they'll fall in line.

Is now a republican, because of the money, senima too.

They are loyal dems until they decide to stop being loyal dems.

And I bet the money is what talks loudest in thier capricious ears.

6. If Manchin leaves the Democratic party in any fashion, his political career is over

Democrats won't vote for him again, and trumpanzees won't vote for a guy who voted to impeach the former guy twice.

His political future lies with the Democratic party, and he knows it.

Same with Sinema. The Arizona Democratic Party all but disowns her, and Arizona trumpanzees won't vote for someone who voted to convict 45 twice either.

If she wants to remain a senator, she needs to remain a Democrat in good standing.

I think you may be right in the end. I certainly hope so. Too bad we don't have about 60 Paul Wellstones in the Senate.

Against a very tiny minority of self-interested holdouts. Never forget it.

because it doesn't take into consideration the number of bills they never had to vote "NO" on because they were never brought to the floor for a vote.

I agree, it's time to make them prove their democratic loyalty with actual votes and support for Biden's agenda. They have been working against it, and it is they who failed to keep their word and forced the removal of good Democratic policies from the BBB.

538's data doesn't include the $15 minimum wage hike, for one.

But Manchinema loyalists always like to gaslight the rest of us with that link, so I figured it's time to throw those links back to their faces.

And not happy with Nate as well--the Libertarian that he is. I'm done following him and his mostly negative Biden/Dem polls/stories, and what in hell are these articles about greedy, vapid, turncoat Enema & that rich white, greedy, coal-loving male from WV about?

and Sinema on the $1.75 trillion, already massively stripped, BBB, that BBB Act would be on serious life support.

It almost certainly would then be slashed further (looking at you especially, Mr/Ms $550 billion in BBB Act climate funding part), and Manchin would quite possibly revive his demand that it not even be taken up until 2022.

Sinema and Manchin would continue to make ridiculous demands, indefinitely postponing the bill, or diluting it down into nothing but more corporate welfare. The reconcilliation bill needs to be passed first to assure our bad faith negotiators cannot renege on their commitments.
