(989 posts)can't afford to make my dental health worse than it already is - but I'm surprised at myself for actually liking this ad, given how I dislike most ads nowadays for being terribly overproduced and un-funny.

(12,646 posts)The amount of shocked, upset YouTube posters seemed to outnumber supportive YouTube posters two to one. Ended up having to cast it because I wasn't even sure the positive looking posts wouldn't editorialize inappropriately.
Seriously people. Boys and girls have always played dress-up and explored gender roles up through adolescence, and bullies have always sucked. Who wouldn't want a fairy Goth-Mother to be supportive and gently re-direct bullies for one?

(6,679 posts)I defy any Christian to show me a picture of Jesus wearing pants.
Besides which, why aren't they getting all hot under the armpits if they see women in pants?
Those idiots make no sense.

(20,666 posts)Soldiers before the 18th century wore them. All religious leaders wear long, flowing cloaks. Some modern super heroes wear long tunics. This fear is a waste of energy and pointless. Let the fools choke on their own insecurities.

Beyond that, Mars is the 3rd largest privately held company in the U.S. They have been criticized for buying cocoa beans from West African farmers who reportedly use unpaid or poorly paid child laborers as far back as 2009, when they said they would work on only purchasing cocoa from suppliers who meet labor and environmental. In 2019, WAPO reported that they are nowhere close to doing so.
