(11,860 posts)We have to stop letting the MSM spin us up with their constant narrative of Democratic Party failure.
It is not true and designed to depress democratic turnout in the midterms.

About himself, traitorsgalore says:
I'm a lifetime democratic voter from Virginia who, like many others, fears for the future of our nation due to the constant threat from fascists, racists, insurrectionists, hate groups, hate speech, conspiracy nuts and all other deluded GOP frauds. I'm sure I'll enjoy being on DU around others like me who believe in learning, staying informed and supporting each other.

(57,425 posts)I was surprised to learn that too, as he is remarkably unaware of the makeup of the Commonwealth of Virginia. One wonders how long he has been here, and where he came from earlier. His description of himself says he from Virginia. I don't see how that's possible.
I've edited my post to provide some clarity.
Best wishes.

I voted in person yesterday in Alexandria. I stood in line for over an hour. The Youngkin supporters were there with their signs. The McAuliffe supporters were there with their signs. I was offered several sample ballots. I had done my homework in advance, so I didn't need the assistance. The people in line were peaceably assembling, to coin a phrase. There were no shouting matches, arguments, name calling. Nothing. Mostly people stared at their phones.
A good friend was born in and has lived in Franklin County for most of his life. I think he would be astonished to learn that he is, by default, an idiot.

I might calm down later, but I'm not at that point yet.
I do not care for stereotyping. I see it all the time on DU, and I'm getting tired of it.

(41,131 posts)all DEMOCRATIC VOTERS have lived in, do live in, or were born & raised in Virginia in the following areas:
Fairfax Co., the City of Falls Church, Arlington Co., Springfield, the cities of Alexandria, Herndon, Leesburg, Gainesville (Prince Wm. Co.).
Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, Roanoke, Richmond, Petersburg, Williamsburg, Gloucester, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Emporia.
The common perception that only the Northern Va. suburbs and Charlottesville are worth campaigning in and relying on Democratic votes is false, ignorant and bullshit.
BTW, what happened to the '50 State Strategy, and suggestions to revive it?
