He received some training from his fire department cadet stuff, and he was a lifeguard at a YMCA.

The question they're working on is that Rittenhouse claimed he was an EMT when at the protest. He was not an EMT in any way.

He had received first aid training, though.

is that he had some First Aid training through his local fire department. I think he also said he was in the Explorers.

in the fire department, had never received any formal EMT or other medical training. He said worked as a "lifeguard" at a pool for several weeks.

It's great the prosecution can cross examine him but unfortunate the Judge won't let them ask any questions.
