Rolling Stone-Greed and Debt: The True Story of Mitt Romney and Bain Capital

While reading the original op concerning the many lawsuits and bankruptcies of TFG*
I got a memory nudge that reminded me of the interest I had with Mitt Romney and
Bain Capital.** Both stories present individuals who practiced greed and used
loopholes in the law to enrich themselves and then entered politics. I find this
information as chilling today as I did years ago.

He and other rich assholes would buy a company, then borrow against the value of the
company's assets, if the company was still making a product that there was a market for
ship those jobs out of America, lay off the employees, sell of any assets that the company
had, then try to raid any retirement funds that they could, scrap any health care the
employees have, leave the health care and retirement costs up to different governments,
and then scrap the business because it was too far in debt.

One difference between TFG and Romney is that Mitt made money.

2. Thanks. You put it very well. What chills me is that these corrupt persons

do have the support of a very destructive minority of people.

... buying companies with borrowed money, loading those companies up with debt, selling off
any "hard assets" of those companies, laying off the employees, and then walking walking away
with millions.

It was just a big game to them because they knew how to "work the system."
