Rep. Omar slams colleague Boebert as 'insurrectionist who sleeps with a pervert'

Rep. Lauren Boebert had made a speech from the House floor hinting at improprieties by Democratic lawmakers, Rep. Ilhan Omar included.

In an unhinged speech from the floor of the House of Representatives Wednesday, Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert called the censure vote of fellow Republican Paul Gosar “a dumb waste of the House’s time.”

“But since the Speaker has designated the floor to discuss members’ inappropriate actions,” she added, “shall we?” Boebert went on to refer to a “Jihad Squad member from Minnesota” who paid her husband more than $1 million in campaign funds.

In a scathing response to the GOP firebrand on Twitter, Omar shared Boebert’s minute-long speech and commented: “Luckily my dad raised me right, otherwise I might have gone to the floor to talk about this insurrectionist who sleeps with a pervert. I am grateful I was raised to be a decent human and not a deprived person who shamefully defecates & defiles the House of Representatives.”

Of course Boebert is incredibly worse, but she's probably a sociopath. While as a Democratic U.S. congressman, a high standard is appropriate for Omar. And to start with, she should resist the temptation to get attention by linking her name with Boebert's.

I'd like to see Omar take a lesson from Ocasio-Cortez and either engage in these attention-grabbing public exchanges from a distant elevation, or best of all refuse the invitation Ocasio-style.

I'm pretty sure that the Republican Accountability Project posted it to show up Boebert for the depraved individual she is. They try to do that. Which would suggest that Omar's response was not to an enemy but to an ally.

That unfortunate action included the unseemly insults that made sure her message would be spread widely and publicly. As it was. She and Boebert (and other Republicans?) are keeping their names fresh and jacking out some donations by this interchange.

And what does our great progressive cause get from linking us with them in the minds of voters?

Just goes to show that there is hope for one showing their privates to underage girls, which can lead to marrying a future congressperson and subsequently, for no particular reason, 'earning' $800k/year for... well, who the F knows.
