time was they wouldn't have had to face charges for such a "minor" offense.

6. They did almost got away with it

Two local DAs were just going to let them go without charges or even a real investigation. It's only with the GBI got the video of the shooting that anything happened.

5. They are dumber

Than dirt. They had not been arrested, and seemingly not
bothered by authorities for well over two months after they murdered Mr. Aubery.
Then for some reason, McMichael Sr. thought it would be a good idea to leak the video of the murder to a local radio station. I think they were proud of it. Unfortunately for the defendants, that is when GBI got involved. Yep! Stupid is as stupid does.
