Anyone interested in a friendly prop wagers?
How long until:
-Kyle Rittenhouse poses with his AR-15,
-throwing White supremacist hands signals
-drinks and high fives with known ProudBoys
-is arrested again for murder?
-Goest work for Matt Gaetz??
-wins election to represent Kenosha?
Worst legal decision since Dred Scott.

(3,629 posts)Yeah he's going to have fun for awhile, but look how it worked out for George Zimmerman. Kyle is going to be a lightning rod for the rest of his life. He's a very stupid person who now has no reason to think of himself as anything but a heroic genius, and enough of that attitude will eventually alienate even his current ideological "friends." He will spend the rest of his life being used, as Matt Gaetz is trying to use him right now, and none of those people are really going to care about his welfare. If he keeps going to protests with his handy dandy penis substitute his prospects for health and long life are not good. Particularly since he is so stupid and overconfident. I don't think it will be long before he is in trouble again, if not for murder than at the very least for underage drinking or DUI. Like someone who started their gambling career with a royal flush, he's going to be shocked at how often he will lose and end up not understanding why things didn't work out better for him. Karma will get him, mark my words.

(11,738 posts)I agree. Rittenhouse is not a smart person. Greta Thunberg is a smart young woman, Malala is a smart young woman. We can expect that we will be seeing more of those two and in increasing positions of power.
Rittenhouse, just by his demeanor and statements, is not particularly bright. He will be used and discarded. He will become intoxicated by the power that is thrust upon him, that he is unable to actually wield in any pro-social way.
He will eventually crash and burn because he has tied himself to a morally bankrupt ideology.

(11,813 posts)I mean, it's not good, but really? Seems a tad hyperbolic to me.

(11,738 posts)It was a bad decision and a bad case from the start, but I think people's emotions are on display here, and not their analytical side.
