I feel sorry for anyone in the background whose face or plates were visible. 👀

We are at a point where they are faking things just to post in the hopes it "goes viral". Sometimes it is what I call the "Jerry Springer" effect but sometimes it's planned propaganda.

Good job filming it though for future prosecutions.

Although, "We goin to Sizzler!" was pretty friggin funny.

10. They made a movie about a similar incident

Based on a true event in Philly if my memory's correct. It did not have a happy ending for the absconders, a couple of working class guys who thought their Lucky Day had finally arrived. Until it didn't.

Can't recall the name of the film but remember thinking it was pretty good, nailing the human reaction of the situation--the initial excitement followed by the creeping guilt and fear of being identified and caught, fights between friends, yada, yada.

Fleeting joy.

This was well before twitter or FB or instagram when everyone now feels compelled to take a selfie, be it cataloguing a right or wrong action. Like this young woman offering up a mug shot before the authorities arrive.

Whatever's old is new again!

"San Diego freeway" vs "San Diego Freeway."

Since I am currently sitting 100 yards away from the latter, but the incident occurred on the former, I'll keep typing.
