Another (pre-verdict) take on the Rittenhouse trial:

First, absolutely no one should be surprised if Rittenhouse is acquitted on the most serious charges against him. And second, regardless of the outcome of the trial, the Trumpist right is wrongly creating a folk hero out of Rittenhouse. For millions he’s become a positive symbol, a young man of action who stepped up when the police (allegedly) stepped aside.

The trial itself has not gone well for the prosecution, for reasons that relate to the nature of self-defense claims......"

how fn stupid is that...and his choices did not get any better that night. He is lucky he is not dead. He is lucky he walking free.

Given his gullibility, he won't be lucky he gets used by the christofascists like he was already used by them and the cops.

At worst, he is a violent fascist and will take this free pass as reason to behave in a violent manner again. God forbid he gets a badge.
