America held hostage: Day 198 of no Chick-fil-A sauce, while Biden is on vacation.
People are still reading these, so I'll keep posting them for a while.
Ted Cruz gets his wish; the Bidens are in Nantucket.
In case you've forgotten, David M. Rubenstein is "a co-founder and co-executive chairman" of the Carlyle Group. Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia:
David Mark Rubenstein (born August 11, 1949) is an American billionaire businessman. A former government official and lawyer, he is a co-founder and co-executive chairman of the private equity firm The Carlyle Group, a global private equity investment company based in Washington, D.C. He is chairman of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, former chairman of the Smithsonian Institution, chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, and president of The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. According to Forbes, Rubenstein has a net worth of US$4.3 billion as of October 2021.
He owns the copy of Magna Carta that is on display at the National Archives. It is loan to them. He also put up half the cost of repairing he damage to the Washington Monument caused by the August 2011 earthquake.
He is an admirable person. I hope that if I ever run into him on the streets of DC, I get to shake his hand and thank him for all he's done.
