The Metro Times is reporting that Wayne County Republican Trump lovin' loon William Hartmann, the former vice-chairman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers has been in intensive care since early November.

Hartmann, like other MAGA wackos refused to certify the county’s election after Joe Biden won and made believe Covid 19 was nothing more than a money grab of some sort.

Hartmann has attacked all vaccines and equated any government attempts to get people vaccinated to Nazi Germany.

As we've been documenting, more and more COVID deniers are being infected and are facing the wrath of the virus.

It truly is a shame that Michigan Department of Health and Human Services between October 7 to November 5, 76% of the people will who died from COVID were unvaccinated.

And that's due to their fears, ignorance and people egged on by people like Hartmann, others like him, Fox News and almost all of right-wing media.

I never wish anyone to become ill no matter how I disagree with them, but if you're going to flaunt insane conspiracy theories and anti-vax nonsense that help others get infected and die then don't ask me to feel bad for you.

And your opinion will have no effect one way or the other on the eventual outcome of Mr. Hartmann's course of treatment. I make this obvious statement not for the edification of ProfessorGAC, because I'm pretty sure the good professor knows this already. Making an observation about a person's situation doesn't make it better or worse; that situation is utterly indifferent to anyone's opinion, voiced or unvoiced.

When I hear about people like Mr. Hartmann, my internal response is "Well, you played with fire, and you got burned. No surprise there." Hartmann's a big boy, completely responsible for his own actions and choices. He didn't ask me for any advice though I proffered the best advice out there. Now he's fighting for his life? Good luck with that.

MDPH reports 76% of deaths are unvaxxed.
But, CDC shows unvaxxed 6.1 times more likely to die from COVID.
That would be 85% of deaths from being unvaxxed.
76% seems radically different to me. 3.16 to 1, vs. 6.1 to 1.

They're at 54.4% fully vaxxed, 61% at least one dose.
That's not that different than the US as a whole (59.1%) although the "at least one dose number" lags by 10%.

and that included a long public comment period (people had called in and let loose). It went on for hours (although I recall breaks during the session). They ultimately held another vote and certified the results.

to avoid getting sick, to avoid literally dying, a normal person would do so w/o hesitation. And they would encourage others in their orbit to do the same, get vaccinated, masks, etc.

Why is dealing w/ COVID any different? Considering that these trump nuts consider COVID a hoax, there sure are a lot of them dying or getting seriously ill. All because their nasty/nazi leader rump told them to, told them that COVID is a hoax, etc., despite numerous medical experts saying otherwise. Some leader, eh, who has totally forsaken his followers and went into his hidey hole in NJ or Florida, coward that he is.

There are better ways of demonstrating their values, instead of dying but I don't think they're listening (like protesting?). Stubborn as a mule (or worse). Too bad, it'll kill them and a lot of their circle of friends (if any). I've already had one ex-friend who died because he thought that COVID was a hoax, and several of us tried to convince him otherwise. He's dead now.

Perhaps the dying is a good thing, for what else are these people capable of doing, since they so willingly go about possibly infecting others, bringing serious illness or death to others who want nothing to do w/ COVID. This is what scares me more than anything.

Has it gotten to the point where big chunks of society will not listen to anyone, regardless of what they say or do, that they are so hateful of others that they don't care?
