Supposedly Julian Assange has suffered a TIA (aka "mini-stroke")... Sigh......

The source is the Daily Mail, so I will not include a link. Trash tabloidy garbage pile, anyone could find it online if they wish without my help boosting their page views.

His fiancee blames the stress of this arrest/extradition trial. Well, I'm sure this most recent ruling is pretty stress-inducing. Indeed...

It's "convenient" (for lack of a better term) that of all the medical emergencies he could have had, he did have a TIA. TIAs produce no lasting clinical signs/symptoms, and common TIA symptoms are completely subjective, and overlap with acute anxiety or conversion disorder or straight-up bullshitting. Or also some secret deep state assassination weapon which this brave hero is too Superman to succumb to, according to conspiracy-theorists in the days ahead, probably.

The problem with suffering from a new medical condition exactly at the time when sympathy is desired from a court system is that obvious ploys are obvious. If this is real, the timing is either very good or very bad, depending on how the courts next act (or refrain from acting).

[Edit for clarity -- TIAs are very real and very serious, but I personally don't find the Daily Mail or anyone associated with Assange to be trustworthy sources of information, on ANY topic, including any medical condition Assange may or may not experience]

Slurred speech, loss of balance, confusion, anxiety, train of thought derailed, drooling.

You could tell he had one just by looking at his face. His facial muscles would go totally slack.

My mother suffered a series of TIA's in her final years and the results were devastating, not subjective in nature. Now is Assange using the TIA as an BS excuse or a sympathy getter? Who knows?

But let's not confuse the man and his questionable stances/history and a real life medical condition.
