I read many of her books and was a follower of her People of the Page on FB and often joined in the conversation(s).

She was a warm and engaging person. She would often herself participate in the conversations on her Facebook page, always stating how deeply appreciative she was of her readers. Her passing is a great loss.

The first Anne Rice book I read was The Witching Hour. I have always thought it a masterpiece.

I read her Vampire novels up through Queen of the Damned, always meant to read more someday...

She seemed a very pleasant person. If you didn't know who she was you wouldn't have known that this nice lady was the creator of vampire stories and writer of the "Beauty" books.
