I would publicly state the following:
"Rand, I would have ordered immediate help for Kentucky even if you had been as opposed to it as you were to help for every other state that was in this exact situation."

(8,756 posts)Knows damn well Biden would send help ASAP. Completely opposite of him, McConnell and trump. He thinks being loud and demanding aid he can say he is responsible for the aid and put Biden in his place. They always vote against help, then take credit. Biden should send a truck load of paper towels and play doh to Pauls house and checks to those poor folks affected, but put his signature on them.
McConnell has made the same statements about states needing to take care of themselves.
Pauls neighbor, if your listening, you will be greatly rewarded. Kentuckys beautiful clean coal has a lot to do with climate extremes, creating extreme storms.
Not the fault of those poor victims, its Kentucky politicians like McConnell and Paul and coal money.
If Biden was an asshole as much as Paul, McConnell and tRump, he would demand they vote for BBB and green energy or get no federal help. Ya think they may need some infrastructure about now?
But thank god for those victims, Biden has a soul and is a follower of God. McConnell will not say a thing about debt ceiling, or spending for this aid. And he should not.

Its called the Gulf Coast Hurricane Aid Act. Kennedy says it would provide critical relief in response to the damage caused by the storms.
Kennedy tried to fast-track the bill. It was introduced for unanimous consent, but it was rejected by Senator Rand Paul (R), of Kentucky.

(54,409 posts)Democrats should be highlighting how much time and money Kentuckys Republican members if Congress are donating to relief efforts.
Hell, my U.S.-based daughter donated time and effort to help victims of Hurricane Sandy, and her take-home pay after taxes at the time barely covered her rent and food bills at the time.
These guys are well-off and are paid six figures to represent their state. If they are going to demand money from all of us, are we take them seriously if they will not offer a cent of their own, or an hour of their precious time?
