LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Kentucky, it's time to step up and help each other. There have been few times in the Bluegrass State where the need has been greater.

You can see Governor Andy Beshear's latest comments on the disastrous outbreak from a press conference in Dawson Springs in the player above.

Here is a list of ways to help with donations to assist the many victims of the deadly tornado outbreak that has severely impacted western Kentucky. This is a comprehensive list, but it is not exhaustive. If you know of any other opportunities to help those affected please email us at newstips@wlky.com.

Includes....
* Join WLKY in supporting the American Red Cross' efforts to help storm victims (includes link).
* Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund (includes link).
* Western Kentucky Red Cross: The Western Kentucky Red Cross has already partnered with Facebook and set up an online method for those who want to help to make donations.
* Local restaurants
* VFW Posts VFW Post 1170 in Middletown is accepting any and all kinds of donated goods which they will then help to get distrbuted to those in need. Donations can be brought to their location at 107 Evergreen Road.
* Water Drive (local Louisville effort)
* Religious groups Link to Muslim Americans for Compassion included.

I'm sure there are similar articles in news coverage from the other affected states such as Arkansas.

I don't give to relief funds unless they are to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, or Catholic Charities.

I cannot in good conscience donate to folks who overwhelmingly vote against their own interests and the interests of their fellow Americans.

My dollars are better off going to Planned Parenthood, Stacey Abrams, and progressive causes and candidates.

Have a bump, tho.
