Usually I only watch things that I think will be funny (SNL, Seth, Colbert, etc), or I because need to actually view the devastation somewhere.

Now that i think about it, I do love me some John Oliver though ... I'll watch that dude talk about just about anything

Jon Stewart too.

But if you aren't that level of talent, I'd rather just read, thanks!

when a car shows 'missing' they simply report it as stolen, as it is cheaper to farm it out to the cops than to track it themselves.

Madness.

they tried to charge me for a car I didn’t rent in Fort Wayne (during a week I was in another city). Said I returned the car late and left without paying.

They pestered me with repeated calls for over a year and wouldn’t listen when I tried to explain each time they had the wrong renter. Once they turned it over to a collection agency the agency listened to me and resolved it on the first call.

Never got an apology from National, not that one was expected. They were idiots.

as a business traveler. So I rented from National there, just not the week they claimed I had their car - when I was actually renting from National in Louisville - lol.

Imagine you have rented a car and suddenly you see cops pointing guns at you, and you haven’t the slightest idea why—and then it turns out to be because of deficient software of your car rental agency!!

I rent a car exactly once a year in the USA (next year will be a big exception for our 70-70-40 event). We just take whatever the travel agency gives us if it meets our needs. But after this story, even if the chances of it happening to my family are one in ten thousand, the very fact that it CAN happen is enough to issue instructions to exclude Hertz from the pool of choices. A one-off event is bad, but repeated happenings around the country, spread out over time, are far too scary to risk even those small odds.
