Chris Wallace exits Fox News Channel for CNN's streaming service

Chris Wallace, the longtime Washington journalist, announced his departure from Fox News Channel at the end of his weekly program Sunday, and will head to CNN’s upcoming streaming service.

Wallace, whose contract at Fox News ends this month, was considered the most even-handed journalist at the conservative-leaning Fox News. An 18-year veteran of the channel, he was the anchor of its Sunday roundtable show “Fox News Sunday.”

“Eighteen years ago, the bosses here at Fox promised me they would never interfere with a guest I booked or a question I asked,” Wallace said on his program. “And they kept that promise. I have been free to report to the best of my ability, to cover the stories I think are important, to hold our country’s leaders to account. It’s been a great ride.”

Wallace has long said he was immune to the right-wing rhetoric of Fox News commentators and never publicly criticized the organization. There have been reports that he was among the journalists in the Washington bureau who expressed concerns about Tucker Carlson’s documentary series about the Jan. 6 insurrection, which pushed a conspiracy theory that suggested government involvement.

I’d be curious to see their numbers, but I can’t imagine those network add-on’s do a whole lot.

5. Maybe they are betting on high viewership for their streaming service.

It starts in 2022, btw (I had to look that up).

CNN+, the much-anticipated streaming subscription service from CNN, will debut in Q1 2022. CNN is coming off its highest rated and most trafficked year ever on both television and digital platforms and remains the most trusted name in news.

Kasie Hunt was also hired for CNN+ (as well as for occasional appearances on CNN).

Kasie Hunt is joining CNN as anchor and chief national affairs analyst, where she will host a daily show on CNN+ focused on politics. She will also appear on and report for CNN US, covering national and breaking news.

Hunt is the first official anchor for CNN+, the much-anticipated streaming subscription service from CNN that will debut in Q1 2022. Her show will contribute to CNN+’s slate of original, live programming, and she brings her deep reporting experience covering presidential campaigns, Congress and establishment Washington to the platform.

That leaves the most despicable Brit HUME at Faux as the top creep. HUME who in his ABC days showed his wingnut stripes, was the consigliere of the BUSH Family Evil Empire. At Faux he had the totally free hand to be as brutal as he wanted, and every Sunday would verbally pistol whip Juan WILLIAMS. And when Dan RATHER would use as a Sign-Off a somewhat wimpy "Courage," HUME countered with "UNAFRAID".

And post HUME at ABC, Jonathan KARL has filled the wingnut slot, in recent years making nice with Late Night comedians and The View just to promote his books.

Say what you will about him, but he did push back hard on a lot of the right-wing bullshit.

The bad news is that Fox News is now neck-and-neck in the battle of what is the most extreme news outlet — ONN, Newsmax, or Fox?

9. Maybe this clip from Lara Logan comparing Fauci to a Nazi doctor is why he left? Maybe..

for those who do not want to hit the link,,Lora Logan said at the link that Dr Fauci was like a doctor for Hitler
who did experiments on Jews

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reason Wallace left. He left because Logan (who is not around any more) ..
hit on Dr. Fauci with a total and ridiculous lie....at link below, you can hear her say this..(did anyone hear Fox
News apologizing for that ridiculous statement?..) I didn't think so.I don't think Fox has apologized for any of its nonsense.

Maybe the lack of apology from Fox News...was the real reason Wallace left.?
.......NO APOLOGY FROM FOX FOR SAYING DR. FAUCI WAS LIKE A DR. THAT EXPERIMENTED ON JEWS...!!

.......you can hear Lora say that at the link below.total time of story at link, about 4:25 seconds.
