He doesn't rage tweet. He doesn't gratuitously insult people. He doesn't try to divide people. He should be more popular. That is all...

(6,688 posts)the ridiculous gets all the air play. People busy working instead of seeking attention are getting ignored. Sadly, it might take 20+ years before people figure out he is one of the best Presidents we've ever had.

(13,523 posts)afraid we do. They see niceness as being weak. Used to be that being decent was a good trait. Seems like we went off the rails when Gingrich was around.

(6,688 posts)There are stories about earlier Presidents who did well for America that show them to be an a real devil if it was needed to accomplish the goal.
What changed during the 80s was the rise of the bloviaters. Blathering out lies and hate to the public. It had nothing to do with actually being tough.
Biden is more decent than most. A good man. But make no mistake, he would not be where he is if he was too nice to go nose to nose and win.
If course you and I know. 81 plus Million voters know. The future will too.

(7,850 posts)I'm tired of the 24/7 Trump-athon..I'm tired of waiting for the media's collective Trump withdrawal but it's obvious they don't know how to quit him, nor do they want to, and so they invent Biden/Harris sensation where none exists...and I'm tired of the Manchin-Sinema coverage..the "will they or won't they support Biden's agenda" garbage..the never-ending speculation gives them power...get them off the damn front page...and I'm tired of the "OMG we're going to lose the House and Senate" freak out..if ever there was a self-fulling prophesy that's it...and no more anti-vaxxer crap and the need to understand them... I understand them...they want to kill my children and grandchildren and I hate them for it...let's hope 2022 brings light...so tired of the dark...

(36,095 posts)He embodies Pope Francis' six beatitudes.
Blessed are those who remain faithful while enduring evils inflicted on them by others and forgive them from their heart
Blessed are those who look into the eyes of the abandoned and marginalized and show them their closeness
Blessed are those who see God in every person and strive to make others also discover Him
Blessed are those who protect and care for our common home
Blessed are those who renounce their own comfort in order to help others
Blessed are those who pray and work for full communion between Christians.

(89,252 posts)more so than right wing media like Fox becsuse non right wing casual voters see them as unbiased.
Someone posted another thread with an example of their bs like how no Democrat from the most liberal to most right wing votes against disaster relief aid but many Republicans do but they want to pretend both sides are the same .
