It's going to be in the 50's this week. No snow and only a dusting so far this season. This is not normal at all.
Its weird. I hate mud season when its mud season. Its no more welcome when its an add-on surprise mud season.

(3,311 posts)Tied for a couple of highs last week in the low-mid eighties and projected again this week as well. Looking forward to a full month without air conditioning, but we're not quite there yet.

(19,233 posts)A week ago we had temps below zero, with -15F wind-chill.
Friday it was 30F we got our first real snow, a big ole 10"-20" of wet, heavy stuff in the south metro area (14" at my house).
Today it's 44F and sunny. My gravel driveway is a mess.
By Wednesday they're predicting 52F and THUNDERSTORMS. In Minnesota. Two weeks before Christmas. Then it's all going to freeze this weekend.
Next week we're gonna be in the 20's again.

Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me, follow
Down to the hollow
And there let us wallow in glorious mud

(10,885 posts)and high 50's for the remainder of the week. Last week we had just a touch of snow.
I see that NH ski areas are operating, but only because of snowmaking capability. They need a good jolt of that "white gold". My skiing days are over, but I hope things pick up quickly for those anticipating this wonderful sport. A lot of people and businesses live or die by what they make in these important four months.
Still love it, skiing or not. Let it snow!
