I have little doubt that there are at least as many, if not more Republicans who are COVID positive. Far more, actually. They just aren't going to tell the media or the public, as they don't believe the optics would be good for them.

Almost all DC Repubs are vaccinated despite what they may tell the press and the public. The vaccines work and most of them experience mild if any symptoms so they only report it if they are hospitalized and sometimes not even then. They keep their mouths shut about it all because their base is strongly anti-vaccine. So they keep the base happy and they perpetuate the myth that the virus is harmless.

DC Dems always report it to make sure the public knows how widespread the virus is and how it can attack anyone. Also, all DC Dems are proudly vaccinated so these positive test results help show the public how the vaccines work and how they protect people from becoming extremely sick and hospitalized.

DC Dems promote science and open communication. DC Repubs promote bullshit and lies via silence.
