Ted Cruz Reaches New Level of Pathetic by Begging for Tucker Carlson's Forgiveness Over Jan. 6

The interesting thing is that both Cruz and Carlson probably hold the other in contempt and see the other and their supporters as useful idiots. Carlson is a racist and Cruz a craven political opportunist without any moral compass.

Ted Cruz committed a mortal sin in the modern Republican Party earlier this week when he implied the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol was something other than the thing Democrats have been using to make former President Trump look bad.

“We are approaching a solemn anniversary this week,” the Texas senator said during a Senate hearing on Wednesday. “It is an anniversary of a violent terrorist attack on the Capitol where we saw the men and women of law enforcement demonstrate incredible courage, incredible bravery, risk their lives to defend the men and women who serve in this Capitol.”

Cruz was lambasted by Tucker Carlson that night, prompting him to hop on Carlson’s show Thursday and beg for forgiveness. “The way I phrased things yesterday, it was sloppy and it was frankly dumb,” Cruz said before Carlson cut him off and said he didn’t believe him. Cruz took it up a notch, stammering through an absurd bit about how he wasn’t talking about the “patriots across the country supporting President Trump,” only those who assaulted police officers, and that he’s always described anyone who assaults a cop as a terrorist.

Cruz didn’t stop there. He grew even more animated as he recounted how he voted against certifying the 2020 election results while “thousands of people were standing up to defend this country on Jan. 6,” people Cruz called terrorists yesterday but then changed his mind because a TV host got mad at him.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was likened on CNN Friday to a Game of Thrones character who took to calling himself "Reek" after having his penis amputated during extensive torture.

CNN's Brianna Keilar reported on Cruz groveling before Fox News personality Tucker Carlson after describing Jan. 6 as a terrorist attack.

"Straightforward, nothing crazy about that comment, Ted Cruz just saying what is," Keilar noted.

But Cruz apologized to the Fox personality on-air.

Keilar discussed the series of events with co-host John Berman.

"Can I just say one more thing about Ted Cruz there," Berman said. "It's like 7:28 a.m. — Ted Cruz, do you know where your spine is?"

"I thought he handled it better in 'Game of Thrones' when he was Theon Grayjoy to Ramsey Bolton, there," he continued. "Honestly, that was like Reek, it was like the same as watching Reek in 'Game of Thrones' there, how he was addressing him. The power structure there."

"Did you just call him Reek?" Keilar said. "That is such an apt metaphor."

"Well, if the shoe fits or the codpiece fits," Berman replied..

"I don't know. I think that, you know, Tucker Carlson will be picking his teeth this morning with Ted Cruz's spine, is sort of what I think," Keilar said.

11. This simply proves the power FOX news has over the dialog in US politics.

If the Democrats can't come up with a way to put a stop to the 24 hours per day propaganda that is coming from FOX, we will see defeat in the elections or victories overturned after elections and the end of America as we know it.

Cruz knows Tucker's power and also the fact that the hundreds of RW Hate radio hosts amplify that power all across the country. Inroads will be made in strong "Blue" areas too unless something is done.

I pray a peaceful way to shut them down can be found, but it may take something more weighty.
