Conservative justices on the Supreme Court are making it clear they oppose President Joe Biden's vaccinate or test workplace mandate. Arguments against the OSHA-enforced directive from attorneys arguing the case on the right are being derided on social media, but now the justices themselves are making embarrassing excuses to kill the life-saving federal order.

Take Justice Neil Gorsuch, a 54-year old father of two with a Harvard Law degree and a PhD from Oxford.

He has zero medical training. (It also appears he's an anti-masker, see below.)

Did this libertataian federalist society POS get a vaccinated when he was kid to be able to go to school so that he could later become a judge and play both judge and doctor.....what a fucking disgrace..... expand the courts.....

5. 'Flu deaths' are just an estimate to begin with, and include deaths from pneumonia

and various other causes.

Death by flu is not a reportable condition (unlike C19) so they basically just guess how many people 'died because of it' based on how many positive tests there were, counts of people w/flu-like symptoms who entered hospitals, and then how many people died from respiratory-related causes. Note I don't mean 'the same people', I mean like total counts of each category. I'm sure there's other stats but to my understanding those are the 3 main ones.

Comparing flu (no reporting required, always an estimate, includes many causes of death lumped into the metric) and Covid deaths (with testing, and reporting, required) ... is a freaking joke to begin with.

7. Have seen lots of bad info in these arguments from both sides

For instance, some bad info from liberal Justice Kagan, hopefully people don’t start believing that the vaccine prevents them from getting infected with and transmitting the virus, they’ll use that to rationalize not distancing and not wearing masks:

"All the secretary is doing here is to say to providers, 'you know what, basically, the only thing you can't do is to kill your patients. So you have to get vaccinated so that you're not transmitting the disease that can kill elderly Medicare patients, that can kill sick Medicaid patients,'" she said. "That seems like a pretty basic infection prevention measure: you can't be the carrier of disease."
