Eric Swalwell tweet:

Text

There are too many Republicans in Congress who, had they not been serving on the House Floor on January 6, would have been on the other side of the Chamber’s door. That’s the challenge we face. The violence is coming from within.

raise money for some super slick Hollywood mad ave ads. Get Rob Reiner etc al to put his money up! Recruit the strongest candidates to oppose. Have a telethon with the best stars in the country. Call it "rid our House of Traitors.' I bet millions of Dems would donate. Just brainstorming - we need organization to ID the problem, along with the right brains and $$$ to solve it. Thinking outside the box!!!

Trouble is, they might gain power legally since they are passing so many laws that will give them the legal basis for shutting out some voters and overturning elections in some states.

Challenging them with protests in the streets is one possibility, but not likely to produce results other than a show of police and military to block or arrest protesters.

We should consider networking in states where people's votes are likely to be overturned. Actually, networking across all states might be a good idea for responding to needs and doing some brainstorming. If the fascists gain control they are likely to attack liberal websites and forums. Not immediately, but they will get around to it. We will need ways to stay in touch.

No way many of those Harvard/Yale/Fordham "graduates" that supported the insurrection could have passed a civics exam. Especially if their sweat factor was part of the exam (lie detection...)

most of the U.S. House Members and members of the U.S. Senate could pass the civics/citizenship test immigrants must pass.

Melanoma? She probably didn't even have to take the test, Trump probably just paid off the examiner to avoid any problems.

They have been trying to Destroy the U.S., Democracy, and the middle and lower classes for over forty years.
Starting with HWBush/Cheney/Rumsfeld when they committed treason to get Reagan installed in 1980.........

They don't hate America per se, they hate it as it stands. They want it, but completely dominated by the upper 1/10th of 1%

Very very few of the elected republicans would have the courage of their convictions. Just as trump and his fellow leadership conspirators didn't join their cannon fodder in the attack on the capital, neither would any of these others.
